Personally, I need to be able to maneuver my chair within the bathroom.   I have a tray for my wheelchair and bring it wherever I go.

    .” – Lou Holtz I love this quote and have applied it to my life even before I read it!  Even though they have good intentions, I am not sorry I have cerebral palsy.  I have a body that does not always work and causes me pain, but I am alive and with my writing, I can I love to bowl! I have never let Cerebral Palsy stop me from doing anything I have wanted to do. With the help of friends, we find a way.  I go to summer camp at Camp Wawbeek every year.

    I decided to give it a try.  If I am hungry, I need assistance for even the most basic snack.  If my cat is hungry, I have to choose between asking for help or redecorating my floor with a million Yes, I have tried both ways!     I need equipment and chargers, as well as items for my personal cares.  Part way through the day, I needed water to quench my thirst.    As we were getting ready to leave, our bartender came over to see if we needed help.  Actually, we did not need any help.  The design of the doorway was easier leaving than coming in.  My mom helped quite a bit, bailing me out when my stutter took over.
